    Research on Design of the Rock-Plug Blasting Water Intake Scheme for the Yellow River Diversion to Xining Project

    • The Yellow River Diversion to Xining Project abstracts water from the Longyangxia Reservoir, which features high water levels and complex topographic and geological conditions. The design of the water intake structure is critical to ensuring the water supply security of the project. Based on the reservoir's topographic and geological conditions and surrounding environment, a suitable location for the water intake was selected. After comprehensive comparison, a construction scheme involving "Underwater excavation+Rock-plug blasting" was adopted. Detailed designs for the rock-plug and slag collection pit were developed, and key construction techniques, ecological protection measures, and safety assurance protocols were analyzed.
