Abstract:
Regarding the issues in the enrollment of vocational students in higher vocational education in Henan Province, such as the lack of vocational competence evaluation, the finality of assessment methods, and the absence of industry-enterprise participation, a three-stage evaluation model for vocational competence is established. Based on the law of vocational competence development, this model divides the three-year study process of secondary vocational students into three stages: "Consolidating Basic Competences", "Refining Professional Skills", and "Enhancing Comprehensive Competences". Corresponding to the vocational competence requirements of each stage, the original one-time written examination is adjusted into a three-stage assessment, with the second, fourth, and sixth semesters as assessment nodes. Additionally, a comprehensive quality interview is incorporated to implement the comprehensive evaluation reform of "cultural qualities+vocational skills". The new model features process-orientation, gradation, dynamics, and comprehensiveness. It effectively overcomes the drawbacks of finality evaluation, improves the scientificity and comprehensiveness of the evaluation for the enrollment of vocational students, and provides a practical approach for higher vocational colleges to accurately select talents, promote the connection between secondary and higher vocational education, and enhance the adaptability of vocational education.
